COVID-19 UPDATES
For our already vulnerable community, we are heartbroken and frustrated that this pandemic has privileged those who have access to internet and resources. We continue to host evening prayer and Sunday worship knowing full well that a majority of our congregation is no longer present. This goes against who we are as a parish and we recognize that it is difficult to even consider ourselves to still be Holy Comforter without the breadth and depth of who we are accurately represented. However, our mission has not changed. We are continually discerning and adapting while we grieve the loss of the faces we are used to seeing. We continue to deliver food to personal care homes, send letters, reach out via phone, visit (social distance style), and come up with creative ways to maintain connection.
We long for the day when we can gather together again, for it will be a day of great rejoicing. Until then we continue to do whatever we can with what we have to seek and serve Christ in all persons.
